Friends and Family,

As you may know, I recently filed to run for Houston City Council At-Large, Position 3! I want to take my 30-year record of public service leadership to City Hall. My service on the Harris County Board of Education since 2019 has proven that we can work together for the betterment of our city and county, especially when we are not concerned about who gets credit!

The city needs leaders who will invest in our youth like the future of our city depends on it – because it does! Too many of our parks and community centers are underutilized. I know what it takes to bring communities together to maximize its resources that will meet the needs of our youth.

Our neighborhoods should be clean and safe, and it takes leadership to make it happen! The neighborhoods that have problems with dumping also have some of the worst crime problems. I will tap into my three decades of positive relationships with community leaders, law enforcement, educators, faith leaders, and businesses, to continue to bring results to neighborhoods across the city!

The loss of Aleksis has been the hardest thing our family has ever dealt with, and we wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone! I know in my heart that Aleksis would want me to do everything possible to make a difference in our neighborhoods and for our youth so that families don’t continue to suffer. We will honor Aleksis’ memory by continuing to work to end gun violence!

Will you join me as we campaign across the city of Houston with a message of Hope and Determination to bring about Safe and Clean Neighborhoods and to invest in our Youth so that all the families of our city have a successful future. Please consider contributing to our campaign fund so that we have the resources to win.

Thank you,

Appreciatively yours,
Richard
